Of His Fullness
John 1:16 “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.”
When Jesus came to the earth, He represented the true nature of God and came in the fullness of everything that the Father is. Jesus is full of grace and truth.
He came to show us who our Heavenly Father is and how He truly sees us. When God, the Father sees us, He sees the beauty of His creation. We were always meant to be His crowning creation, we were never meant to live in bondage to sin and condemnation, we were always created to reflect God’s glory. Now, in Christ Jesus, the glory of God is in us and we can reflect His true nature.
All of this wasn’t because we earned it or deserved it, but because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. He was delivered up because of our transgressions, and He was also raised up for our justification! Hallelujah! (Romans 4:25)
Because of the fullness of Jesus, we have received grace upon grace. Our relationship with God starts with grace, continues in grace and always is based on grace. It wasn’t our “good behaviour” that caused us to be justified. It was simply because the Father had grace toward us. He is the Father who is rich in mercy! (Ephesians 2:4)
As we start this week, remember that it is of His fullness that we have received grace upon grace, upon grace, upon grace…. His grace continues on, and is greater than our sin, because where sin abounded, grace much more abounded. (Romans 5:20)
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
