The Power of the Gospel

Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith."

What is more transformative than the new birth?! When someone receives Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, one of the most amazing miracles takes place within them; they become a brand new creation! (2 Corinthians 5:17) We don't see any change on the outside, but the inward man becomes a brand new creation, a recreated spirit, a born-again child of God! That person who was once in darkness, separated from the life of God, unrighteous, sinner, becomes, in a moment, righteous, holy, and blameless in the sight of God! (Colossians 1:22)

This power to transform a person is not attained in our own works, it is not achieved through our own "goodness." This power is only contained in the Gospel! The apostle Paul was not ashamed of this Gospel because he understood the power of its message.

The Gospel is simple.

Righteousness is received through believing in what Jesus has done for us and receiving Jesus as Lord of our life. It is because of God's grace that we are able to receive righteousness, not earn righteousness.

This is the good news that every person on this planet needs to hear! This message of grace is the answer to every problem mankind will ever face. And you and I carry this answer in our hearts. We have a testimony to share with those around us.

We are called to share this Gospel with those around us. Each of us has a testimony of how God changed our lives. We encountered God's love and have never been the same.

I encourage you this week to look for those opportunities to share the Gospel with those around you. Remember, the Gospel is simple. We don't have to have all the answers, we share our testimony and what God has done in our lives. You'd be surprised at the results that take place when we share the good news of the Gospel!

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
