The Victory
Romans 8:3-5 “For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.“
Now that we have been made righteous, how do we walk out this righteousness?
It’s so tempting to rely on our own works, will power, or self disciple to live out righteousness. Paul said to the church in Galatia, “Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?” (Galatian’s 3:3)
Now that we’re righteous, do we live out this righteousness depending on our own works?
Of course not! In and of ourselves, we don’t have the power or ability to produce righteousness or earn righteousness. We need the help of the Holy Spirit!
When we walk according to the Spirit, He empowers us to live righteously. Only He can unveil the truth about who we are in Christ and cause us to see it, understand it, and walk in it!
This is the victory! The truth that Jesus paid for our righteousness and God, the Father, sent us the Holy Spirit to empower us to live out who He has already made us to be.
I want to encourage you with the words that Jesus spoke in John 14:17, Jesus said “we will know the Holy Spirit because He is with you and will live in you.”
It’s so important for us to have this fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He’s on the inside of every believer, strengething them, comforting them, leading them, and guiding them.
It’s so vital for us to be in fellowship with the Spirit of God who is on the inside of us. As you grow in fellowship with the Spirit, you will find yourself being more aware of how the Father sees you, and will enable you to live boldly, holy and righteously by the power of the Spirit.
Praise God for giving us such a precious gift, the presence of His Spirit on the inside of us.
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
