Transformed

Psalm 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”‭‭

How we see ourselves and the world around us begins in our hearts. Proverbs 23:7 says, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

The words that we allow into our lives are what shape the way we see ourselves. Words that were spoken to us as children by our peers, parents and teachers can create a picture of how we see ourselves, whether positive or negative.

Circumstances that we have been dealing with for a long time can create a strong hold in our minds, and we can begin to think that “it will always be this way”, and it creates a picture in our hearts of how we see ourselves.

The good news is that the Word of God has the power to transform these negative pictures into ones that line up with God’s Word.

When we take what God’s Word says and meditate on it, (that means that we think about it, we talk about it, we keep it in front of us), it transforms the way we think in our hearts.

God desires for you to see yourself the way that He does. The only way that we can think correctly and perceive things correctly is when we constantly renew our minds to His Word. It is a discipline, but it is life-transforming.

If there is an area in your life that you recognise does not line up with God’s Word, don’t let it continue to shape the way you see yourself, instead, find out what God has said in His Word and keep that promise in front of you. Keep talking it, keep meditating on it, write it down. Do what is necessary to allow the Word of God to change the way you think. You will begin to see those areas change to the truth of God’s Word.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
