The Book of Life

Luke 10:20 “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

There is so much joy when we know that our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!

Jesus said that this truth is what we can rejoice over.

In Philippians, when Paul was addressing two women who were in the middle of a disagreement, he reminded them that both of their names are written in the Book of Life.

It was a statement that we can easily read over, but if we take the time to think about what the Holy Spirit was saying through Paul, we realise that this is a significant truth that can greatly help us in our relationships.

We are fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We all have received the same grace of Jesus. We have been washed in His blood. Redeemed by His sacrifice. Why would we let the small things come between us and create division? So often the devil will work on our flesh and try to blow things out of proportion. When we view the situation and person purely from the natural realm, we become entangled in strife which becomes an open door for the enemy to work within. But when we take our place as citizens of heaven, and view this situation where we are seated in Christ in the heavenly places, we quickly realise that the disagreement is not worth the strife.

You and I can choose today not to let strife in our hearts and take our authority as citizens of heaven, with the knowledge that our names are written in the Book of Life. We can walk in love towards that person. We can settle the disagreement for the Lord’s sake and move forward, walking in God’s plans and purposes.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
