Beholding as in a Mirror

2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

As those who are “in Christ,” we have been given a new identity, and that new identity is Jesus!

When we look at Him, we see who we really are because He has come to live on the inside of us and we now carry His presence. We behold, just like looking into a mirror, the glory of Jesus and we are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory!

This is the wonder of walking in fellowship and daily communion with the Lord, we grow more and more into who He has already created us to be.

Colossians 2:9-10 in the Living Bible says,

“For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. “

We have everything we need because we are in Him; we are complete in Him.

We don’t have to try to alter our behaviour to try and become “good enough”, when we look at Jesus and fix our eyes upon all that He is, His glory works on the inside of us. He works in us and changes those things that we could never fix in our own strength.

You can boldly declare, “I am complete because I am in Christ and His glory is working in me so I reflect His nature everywhere I go.”

Praise God for His presence that we carry within us! We’re going from glory to glory for His glory!
