His Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Before we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we were dead in our sins. We had no covenant with God, we lived in death and produced works of death. Everything we tried to be was worthless in our own strength. We looked for life in our works, defining our value through self-effort.

At some point in our lives, we came to the realisation that our purpose can only be found in Jesus. It was His life that He gave for us that gave our life purpose, His death and purchase for us, determined our value and worth.

When we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, everything changed! We became a work of His grace, no longer a work of our own effort.

Jesus’ finished work on the cross gave us the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

Our purpose, value, worth, and identity are found in Jesus. Our old nature has been stripped away, cut off in Christ, and we now have a new nature found and defined in Christ.

We identify with everything that God says we are. We are righteous, we are holy, we are redeemed, and we are loved. This is why it is vital for the Church to gather together as believers, each of us reflects the workmanship of God and it brings the Father such pleasure when He sees His children coming together as a family, encouraging one another and reminding one another of their worth and identity.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
