Declare What You Believe
Mark 11:22-23 YLT98 “And Jesus answering saith to them, ‘Have faith of God; for verily I say to you, that whoever may say to this mount, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he saith do come to pass, it shall be to him whatever he may say.”
Jesus uses the opportunity of cursing the fig tree as an opportunity to teach His disciples how faith works.
In the Young’s Literal Translation, it highlights the point that Jesus tells us that we can have faith like God has faith- have the faith of God.
We can have faith in the same manner that God has faith.
Most people don’t understand that we are called, equipped and commanded to operate in faith just like God. They diminish the truth that they have been created in His likeness and image.
But praise God, we can operate just like God! Jesus said to His disciples and us to “have the faith of God”.
God expects us to learn what to do with our faith. Learning how to use our faith is a process and takes time but we can start right where we are!
How does God use faith?
God speaks
God believes what He said will happen
What God said happens
That means we too can:
Speak the will of God- God's Word is His will.
Believe what we have said will happen
Receive what we have said
Declaring the Word of God over our situation has the power to change the situation.
When Jesus spoke to the fig tree, the fig tree withered away.
In the same way, we can speak to our situation according to God's will and the situation has to change according to what we say.
If there is something in your life that you want to see changed, find out what God’s will is for your situation and speak to the situation with boldness!
Praise God that we can have faith just like our Heavenly Father!
