Grace upon Grace Episode 7: The New View is the Real You

Acts 10:15-16, And a voice spoke to him again the second time, 'What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.”

How we see ourselves is how we conduct ourselves. If we see ourselves as sinners, trapped in the cycle of guilt and shame, we will live our lives from that place. But, if we renew our minds to the truth of what God’s grace has done in us, then our actions will change to line up with how we see ourselves.

What God has cleansed, we must not call common. (Acts 10:15)  Common means unclean, defiled, or to count as unclean.

By God’s grace, we have been washed, we have been sanctified, we have been justified from our old nature, and now our new nature is pure, holy and righteous! (1 Corinthians 6:11)
