The Great Exchange

Isaiah 53:3-5

“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed.”

Jesus bore our griefs, and He carried our sorrows! What a wonderful truth that is!

It’s the great exchange! He took and carried what we could not carry, and He gave us His joy, His peace, His strength, and His power so that we could live this life, not in our own ability, but in His.

We can have faith in the promises of God because one of the main reasons Jesus came to earth was so that He could carry the weight of sin and pay the penalty for it. Since Jesus bore our weaknesses, we no longer have to identify with our weaknesses and our pasts; instead, we can boldly declare that we walk in His joy, in His strength, in His peace, and in His power! It’s not based on our natural emotions and personality; it is entirely based on the power of God that is made available to us because of Jesus.

I want to encourage you this week not to rely on your ability and strength but to rest on God’s strength. We are called to be strong, IN THE LORD; we are called to walk in the peace of God and in the joy of the Lord. Jesus bore our weaknesses, and what we bore, we no longer have to carry. Let’s leave our weaknesses with Him and rest in His divine strength.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Love Chloe
