The Extra-Ordinary Life
Ephesians 3:20 AMPC “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”
Getting saved and going to heaven is definitely a wonderful truth of the New Birth, but it is not the only amazing, wonderful privilege of receiving Jesus as Lord of our lives. When we heard the Gospel, believed it and called on the name of the Lord, everything changed. We went from living a life in darkness and despair to one of victory, triumph and purpose. We’re not saved just so we can go to heaven one day, we’re saved so that heaven, the Kingdom of God, lives on the inside of us right now!
We were delivered from darkness so that we could live a life filled with experiencing the glory of God.
In the letter of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul prayed that the church he was writing to would have the eyes of their heart enlightened so that they would begin to understand the hope and call that they have in Jesus as part of His Body. In order to fully enjoy the glorious life that God has for us, our minds and hearts need to be enlightened so that we can discern the value of the Kingdom of God and His Church. Religious and human traditions have created a barrier in people’s understanding of the church. They think church is just some ritual or routine. However, the Church is so much more! The Church is where the extraordinary life is experienced!
Jesus said in Matthew chapter sixteen, “Upon this rock I will build My church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Jesus is building His church. That’s what He is interested in. The Church was never mans idea or institution, it is God’s plan for His family. Church is a family, it is where His Word is being taught. It’s a place where people find and grow in their God-given gifts. It is where the Gospel is magnified. It is where people can find a place where they belong. The Church is the safest place that we can be in this dark world.
I encourage you today to ask the Father to help you understand the value and importance of His Church and your place in it. When we value and treasure His things, that’s where we truly find and live in the extraordinary life. Nothing compares to the feeling of knowing you are right where God needs you to be.
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
