The Extraordinary Family

Ephesians 1:18 “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

In the natural, we learn about who we are from our parents. We watch how they react, their responses to the issues of life, their actions, their decisions, how they carry themselves, etc.

In the same way, we get our Born Again identity from our Heavenly Father.

We learn about our new nature from Him. We learn how to live and walk just like our Heavenly Father.

Not only do we get our identity from Him, but we also have an inheritance as children of God.

The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul prayed for the church that the eyes of their heart to be enlightened so they can know what belongs to them as children of God.

Even though we have an inheritance in Christ, as children of God, we have to learn how to partake of what belongs to us. Living in our inheritance isn’t automatic, it’s for those who want to live in what God has for them. It’s for those who recognise the value of what Jesus paid for and enjoy what God has for them.

The default of Christian’s is not to know who they are and what they have.

But we don’t have to be ignorant of our inheritance! We can walk in all that God has for us as we learn to value His things. All that God has for us is expressed through the local church.

It’s in His church where we find and experience the plan of God, His goodness, His mercy, discover our God-given place, and live in the blessings that God prepared for us.

I encourage you this week to ask the Father to reveal to you and help you to discern the true value of the local church and your place in it. You’ll be amazed at what He has for you! It’s bigger than what you could ever plan for yourself. (Ephesians 3:20)

Remember, love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
