What We Believe is Important

Galatians 3:10-11 “For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “The righteous man shall live by faith.”

Our faith in God is crucial in determining the outcome of our lives.

Living the life of faith is completely different from the life we once lived. We live in a world where we are judged and viewed based on our performance. In the kingdom of God, everything is by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8) Now we, as the ones who have been justified, live by faith.

Everything that God has made available to us in Jesus is His will for His children. However, just because it is God’s will for us to live in all that His grace has made available, our response to what His grace has made available will determine if we experience and live in all that God has for us. God’s promises aren’t automated; they are activated! Faith is what activates them.

What we believe about God is important.

What we believe about what God has said is important.

What we believe about what God has said about us is important.

In Mark chapter six, we read the account where Jesus is preaching in His own hometown, and the Bible says that Jesus could not do any mighty work there, except lay His hands on a few sick people, because of their unbelief. It’s not that Jesus wouldn’t do a mighty work there; it says that He couldn’t. Their unbelief limited Jesus’ ability to work miracles in their lives. What they believed determined the outcome of their lives. Many people were in need of healing there, and Jesus was able and willing to heal them, but He could not help them because they didn’t believe in the words He said.

On the other hand, there were people who came to Jesus fully convinced that He was able and willing to heal them, and they received the healing and deliverance that grace made available to them.

What we believe about God, His Word, and what He has said about us is crucial in determining the outcome of our lives. If we want to live in all that God has made available by His grace, our faith is the only way in which we can receive grace.

I encourage you today to examine your own beliefs. Are there areas in your own life where you have limited God because of unbelief? Perhaps there are wrong beliefs about God in your heart due to past experiences or what someone else has told you about Him. It's essential to examine our beliefs and determine their origins. Are they based on God’s Word, or are they from past experiences? Let God’s Word be the foundation and root of your beliefs. Faith only comes by hearing the Word of God.

What you believe is crucial when it comes to living out everything that God has for you.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
