The Transformed Life

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬, ‭4‬-5 “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),”

According to these verses, we once were dead in our sins but now we are dead to sin!

Praise the Lord! We have been made alive and we are now free to live our lives for God.

We were once sinners by nature but now that we’re in Christ, our new, Born Again nature is righteous.

This is the Gospel, the power of God unto Salvation.

The revelation of who we are in Christ is essential to walking in the victory that Jesus purchased for us.

When we read the Word of God, His Word begins to transform the way that we think.

When we begin to think differently, we begin to believe, talk and act differently.

If you want to experience the outward working of the transformation that took place in you when you made Jesus Lord of your life, the renewing of the mind with God's Word is the key.

We may not understand the transformation that is taking place when we read God's Word but we can be sure that there is a transformation taking place. Just like a seed sown in the ground that takes time to produce a harvest, the seed of God's Word is planted in our hearts and it begins to grow and strengthen and becomes a harvest of fruit in our lives.

I encourage you this week, to remember that it’s God's Word that transforms you. It’s God's Word that changes the way that you see yourself. It’s God's Word that changes how you talk and how you act to live out what has taken place on the inside of you already.

Allow the truth of the Scriptures written above to take root in your heart. You were once dead in your sins and trespasses but now you ARE alive unto God! You are now dead to sin and alive unto righteousness. You are now dead to sin and alive unto holiness! You are now dead to sin and alive unto freedom!

Praise God for the truth of His Word transforming our minds! A transformed thought life is a transformed life.
